Description
This training is specifically designed for clerks who are also returning officers ex officio. Presenting both legal concepts and a hands-on perspective, the trainers will explain a returning officer’s electoral obligations and provide a number of tips and tricks, in the form of commandments, for a practical approach to the following:
- The applicable legislative framework
- Key deadlines
- Recruiting and managing election officers
- Relations with candidates and elected officials
- Best practices
You won’t want to miss this training to prepare for the upcoming elections!
Who is this for?
Returning officers (clerks) and their assistants.
Please note that this training does not replace the training offered by the Chief Electoral Officer in preparation for the 2025 municipal elections. Rather, it is meant to complement it to guide you in your role as returning officer.
